Lab Equitment and Definitions
Beaker - hold solids or liquids that will not release gas
Erlen meyer flask - hold solid or liquids that will release gas,
Graduated cylinder measures the volume of liquid,
Test Tubes, Test Tube holder- holds test tubes that are hot,
Test Tube brushes- cleans test tubes,
Test Tube racks - holds test tubes upright,
Rubber stoppers- they are caps for containers so that there are no spills
Glass stir rod- they stir solutions
Pipette- transfer small volumes of liquids
Forceps- pick up small objects
Weighing Boat- weigh solids that will be transfered
Beaker tongs- moves hot beakers
Thermometer- measuers tempertures
