You can use mental maps to get a firm understanding of what we don’t know about the world. The other use of mental maps are visualizing areas. Also it causes you to ponder ideas and how to visualize maps.

Human Geography is a branch of geography that deals with the study of people and their communities and their interactions with the environment.

Is a field of science devoted to the study of lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena of the earth.
Physical geography
Is the study of physical features on the earth.

How people make places, how people organize space and society, how people interact with each other and how we make sense of ourselves and others.
