Physical-the study of processes in the natural environment
The three types of maps geographers use
Physical, political. and thematic.
Cartography
the science of map making.
Maps

Absolute location
involves the coordinates location and specific location
Relative location
the location of coordinates to continents. The location is rounded to a general area.
Two ways geographers use maps

system on imaginary arcs drawn in a grid pattern on Earth’s surface
4 major lines of longitude/latitude
Artic Circle(northern)
Tropic of Canter (Northern)
Tropic of Capricorn (Southern)
