UNIT 1 CARDS Flashcards
(33 cards)
What type of cell doesen’t have nucleus?
The prokaryotic cell doesen’t have nucleus.
What type of cell have unicellular organisms?
Both prokariotyc and eukaryotic.
What thing use some cells to move?
The filaments.
Examples of one-celled organisms:
Protozoa
Bacteria
Some algae
Examples of multicellular organisms:
Animals
Plants
What’s the smallest type of cell?, what’s approximately it’s size?
Bacterium
1mm : 1000
Characteristics of the bacteria:
Lack of a nucleus
Bactria wall
Small shape
Characteristic shapes
Appendages
Does the size of a cell change if the animal is bigger or smaller?
No it doesn’t.
The structure of the plant cell:
Cell wall
Chloroplasts
Vacuole
Nucleus
Cell mabrane
Cytoplasm
Where do chemical reactions take pace?
Chemical reactions are produced in the cytoplasm.
What is the cytoplasm?
The cytoplasm is the internal environment of the cell where chemical reactions are produced, its mostly made of water, inside substances are dissolved and inside the cells there are membrane bounds called organelles.
What are chemical reactions?
Chemical reactions hapened when cells interact into another and reproduce.
What are the types of cells?
Eukarotic
Prokariotic
What cell is bigger: animal or plant cells?
Plant cell.
What is the biggest cell in the human body?
The egg.
What is the Eukaryotic cell unicellular, multicellular or both?
Both
What is the genetic material?
Is the part of the cell which has the information to make structures. In some cells we can find membrane-bound that made up the nucleus.
Where can we find organelles?
In the Eukaryotic cell, specifically in the cytoplasm.
How are cells organised and carried together?
Cells are organized into tissues and together carry out a specific function, in the organismand many tissues into functional structures that are know as a organ.
What does a cell make?
The cells are the structure that makes a chemical reaction.
How many cells are requiered to form a living organism?
Many microscopic living organisms are form by a single cell.
Bacteria is a prokaryotic or an eukaryotic cell?
Bacteria is prokaryotic because it does not have a nucleus
How it is called the object that we use for see things that we can not see with our eyes (for example: cells)?
The object is called light microscope.
Does an algae cell have a nucleus?
Yes, it does.
