What are the two parts of the Bible?
Old Testament and New Testament
Old Testament contains God’s saving actions towards humanity through Moses and the Hebrew people; New Testament tells the story of God’s promise of salvation fulfilled in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

What do the words ‘Bible’ and ‘testament’ mean?
Bible means books; Testament means agreement.
Can the Bible be broken apart? Why?
No, because the testaments form a single book containing the whole revelation given by God for salvation.
What is the difference between the Catholic and Protestant Bibles?
The Protestant Bible has some missing books called deuterocanonical books.
What does it mean to say that the Bible is the ‘History of Salvation’?
It is a living dynamic history of God’s intervention in human history for salvation.
