Fairness is achieved when fair legal processes are in place and all parties receive a fair and unbiased trial. This involves ensuring all people are treated impartially wo favouritism or discrimination

Means that all people are treated equally before the law regardless of attributes such as race, religion, gender. Equality means that all people engaging with the justice system and is processes should be treated in the same way. However, if the same treatment creates disparity or disadvantage, adequate measures should be implemented to resolve it.
