Q

Volume of Triangular Prism

A

V = (0.5bh) h
V = (√s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c) h
V = (s/2)² √3h
V = (1/2) ab ⋅ sinc x h

One of the h is the h of the triangular base & other is h of the prism

17
Q

How do you use dimensional analysis?

A

Convert 60 km/hr to meters/min
1. First write original proportion (60km/hr)
2. Then multiply it by a unit proportion so one of the units is opposite
(60 km/hr x 1 hour/60 min x 1000 m/1 km)
3. Cross out opposite units
(60 km/1 hr x 1 hour/60 minutes x 1000 m/1 km**)
4. Cross out opposite same numbers/simplify
5. Multiply across
(1000m/minutes)
