What is empowerment
Empowerment giving an individual choice and control over their care. Should be given the right information and support to live independently as possible. Can be implemented by promoting dignity.
Settings promote anti discrimination
Equality act 2010 should be implemented and ensure people are not discriminated against for their race, gender, disability etc. this is done by accessible signage access to buildings for wheelchair and longer appointment times
How can dignity be maintained
Ensuring privacy for example using curtains around bed, closing door when service user is in bathroom.
Why multi disciplinary working is important in all health and social care settings
Provides holistic approach, needs of service user are likely to be met.
Promoted efficiency and effective communication between team and improved planning of care, each team member accountable for their own care.

Service user feel they can trust the service

Staff are trained and keep their self safe e.g infection control. Up to date of safeguarding policies
