Quarter rest
Is a musical symbol used in sheet music to indicate a brief pause or silence in the music that lasts for one quarter note in duration
4/4 time signature
This indicates that there are four beats in a measure, and the quarter note receives one beat
Melodic intervals (unison to octave)
Unison, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, octave
Harmonic intervals (unison to octave)
Unison, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, octave
Piano
A musical instrument played by pressing keys that cause hammers to strike strings
Mezzo forte
A dynamic marking indicating moderately loud, louder that piano but softer than forte
Forte
A dynamic marking indicating loud

Half rest
A rest symbol indicating silence for the duration of a half note
Tied notes
Notes of the same pitch connected by a curved line, indicating that they are to be played as a single sustained note
