What was the war that caused the American Revolution?

A

The French & Indian War (French & Americans(Britain)). The results of the war led to the seeds of dissatisfaction among colonists.

What did the Proclamation say, and why were colonists upset?

A

The Proclamation said colonists couldn’t move West of the Appalachians in order not to clash with Natives on the other side.

Colonists were upset because expansion was why they fought the war. So, it felt like their efforts were a waste.

Britain decided to tax the colonists through Acts because the war was fought on colonial lands, therefore they thought they were obliged to help their motherland.
