A

Northumberland market Town Survey 2009. Survey was useful as provided further evidence of positive economic impact on SH, e.g. total daily spend of visitors on average for each person visiting SH £40.23

A

Same method used each time for each data collection method. A pilot study been completed prior to investigation so that I knew that all methods appropriate, accurate and unbiased.

How did you present Q1 of the questionnaire “where had tourists come from”?

A

Proportional bar graph

A

As people travelled to visit SH (Manchester, Italy) they more likely to spend money staying overnight and on food and services creating a positive economic impact

Dis your results match the theory?

A

Yes as evidence provided clearly shows tourism has positive economic impact on SH as theory stated. Tourism in SH has created large sphere of influence with people coming from as far away Manchester (5%) and 1.5% Italy. As people travelled to visit SH, they more likely to spend money. 98% of those questioned thought tourism was good for SH and 79% said they felt it improved local economy

13
Q

What other data could you have collected?

A

I would ask businesses when their busiest month was and if they would exist without tourism. This would provide further evidence of economic impact of tourism on SH
