Standard of Living
A common measure of the quantity and quality of goods and services to which people have access
Human Development Index
The United Nations measure of the country’s level of development based on GDP per capita, life expectancy at birth, adult literacy, and school enrollment
GDP Index
A measure of a country’s gross domestic product per capita, one of the criteria for the UN Human Development Index
Convention on the Rights of the Child
1990 international legislation outlining children’s rights, which recognizes that all children have the right to grow up in a family environment in an atmosphere of happiness, peace, dignity, tolerance, freedom, equality, and solidarity
