Excoriation
to a place where your skin is scraped or abraded
Contusion
injured tissue or skin in which blood capillaries have been ruptured; a bruise
Hematoma
a collection of blood outside of blood vessels, often appearing as a bruise, but can also be a more serious, deep collection of blood
Petechiae
small red or purple spot caused by bleeding into the skin.
Ecchymosis
small bruise caused by blood leaking from broken blood vessels into the tissues of the skin or mucous membranes.
Scar
Fibrous tissue that forms when normal tissue is destroyed by disease, injury, or surgery
Macule
a color change eg: freckle
Pruritus
itchness
Papule
solid elevated eg: mole
Nodule
solid elevated and hard eg: fibroma
Pustule
cavity filled with fluid = acne pimple
Vesicle
