unit 4 Flashcards
(9 cards)
What is electric current like?
Like water flowing through a pipe — it’s how much electricity is moving!
What does voltage do in a circuit?
It pushes the electricity, like water pressure!
What is resistance?
Something that slows electricity down, like a clog in a pipe.
What do we call the rule that connects voltage, current, and resistance?
Ohm’s Law: V=I×R
What is a series circuit?
One single path — if one part breaks, the whole thing stops.
What is a parallel circuit?
Many paths — other parts still work even if one breaks.
In a series circuit, what happens to the current?
It stays the same through every part.
In a parallel circuit, what happens to the voltage?
It stays the same across every branch.
