What do you do?
A
looking for if they are a vulnerable adult and if they have a predisposition for bleeding.
ask the patinet in a PRIVATE SETTING
I would reassure them that I want to protect them from harm and that this is a safe place
ensure I examine the patient for these bruises and also for other injuries they may have received e.g. wounds, head injuries, bony injuries
may need to involve medical photography to document the injuries.
involvement of social services and a safeguarding referral.

involve a multidisciplinary team including those close to the patient to act in their best interests.
