communists led by Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Leibnecht
What did the spartacists want?
Germany to be run by the working classes. They believed that power and wealth should be shared equally among the population. They wanted to replicate the Russian Revolution.

look weak: outlined that the government had little military power - The government had to rely on the workers (not the army) to stop the Putsch which outlined that they could not control their own capital.
