  1. Member of Congress introduces bill
  2. Bill goes to committee
  3. Bill is debated by either Senate or House
  4. If bill is passed it goes to the other chamber
  5. After bill is voted on in both houses, its approved
  6. Bill is sent to Prez who can either approve- becomes law, or veto- not approve. 2/3 vote of Congress can override the Prez
