UW ECG Course Flashcards
(14 cards)
LAD Ddx?
LVH
Inferior wall MI
left ant. Fascicular block
RAD ddx?
RVH
Lateral wall MI
left post. Fascicular block
How do you assess for LVH?
S wave in V1 OR V2
AND R wave in V5 or V6 > 35mm (small boxes) aka 7 big boxes
1 mm = 1 small box = .04s
5 mm = 1 large box = .2s
How do you asses for RVH?
R wave > S wave in V1 and gets overall smaller as you move to V6
What is the J point?
Point where ST elevation off the baseline
What is a pathological Q wave?
Downward (negative deflection) very big
PR interval should be less than?
QRS?
QT?
< .2
< .12
< .4 ?
What is a 1st degree AV block?
PR > .2 but NO dropped beats
What is a 2nd degree AV block (Wenckeboch)?
Increasing PR interval before dropped beat
What is a 3rd degrees AV block?
Atrial rate independent of ventricular rate
No pattern bw P wave and QRS
P waves with different sizes and PR intervals indicates what?
Seen in what?
Wandering pacemaker aka Multifocal atrial tachycardia
COPD
What is a premature junctional complex?
Describe it
No P wave visible, occurs in the QRS
Narrow, comes from ventricles
What is a RBBB?
Look where?
What else is required?
Rabbit ears, R, R’
V2
Inverted T wave
What is a LBBB?
Look where?
Rabbit ears
V5, V6
