Last year I went to Spain with my school friends.
El año pasado fui a España con mis amigos de escuela.
In Spain, I went to Toledo and Madrid for a week.
En España fui a Toledo y Madrid para una semana.
There, we stayed with a Spanish family and had a great time because I liked the experience.
Allí, nos alojamos con una familia española y lo pasamos genial, porque me gustó la experiencia.
In Toledo, I did many things.
En Toledo hice muchas cosas.
First, we visited many monuments like the cathedral, museums, and beautiful churches.
Primero visitamos muchos monumentos como la catedral, los museos y las iglesias bonitas.
Afterwards, we went shopping and I bought many souvenirs like postcards.
Después fuimos de compras y compré muchos recuerdos como postales.
I also bought two more to send to my family.
También compré dos más para mandar a mi familia.
The next day, we went to Madrid and visited the football stadium called Santiago Bernabéu.
Luego, el otro día fuimos a Madrid y visitamos el estadio de fútbol que se llama el Santiago Bernabéu.
At the same time, we tried many typical Spanish dishes like paella, gazpacho, croquettes, and Spanish omelette.
Al mismo tiempo probábamos muchos platos típicos de España, por ejemplo la paella, el gazpacho, croquetas y tortilla española.
I learnt that Spain has a Mediterranean diet.
Aprendí que España tiene una dieta mediterránea.
The best part of my trip was eating the food in the restaurants and learning how to cook traditional food.
Lo mejor de mi viaje fue comer la comida en los restaurantes y aprender a cocinar la comida tradicional.
But the worst part of my trip was the weather because it was very cold.
Pero lo peor de mi viaje fue el clima porque hacía mucho frío.
Finally, I want to say that travelling is important because you can learn about different cultures in the world and explore new things.
Finalmente, quiero decir que viajar es importante porque se puede aprender sobre las culturas diferentes del mundo y explorar cosas nuevas.
Additionally, it’s possible to relax because there’s no homework, chores, exams, or school.
Adicionalmente, es posible relajarse porque no hay deberes, tareas, exámenes o escuela.
Without holidays, I think I would get very tired, and that’s why holidays are important for our mental health.
Sin vacaciones yo creo que me cansaría mucho y por eso las vacaciones son importantes para nuestra salud mental.
