Define herd immunity
When the majority of people have been vaccinated so therefore people who aren’t vaccinated are less likely to get the disease
What is a vaccine made up of?
Dead or weakened versions of a pathogen
What are memory cells?
Memory cells remember particular antigens so, if they appear in your body in the future, your immune system can mount a defense quickly.
Why is the secondary response to a pathogen usually more effective
As there are now memory cells that know how to make antibodies to destroy the pathogen
