Q

method

A

mice were selectively bred from a group of wild mice (found in a bran). they tested the first group of mice using the resident intruder test and then selected the mice who had the shortest latency attack scores- the mice who were most agressive. They selected these mice to produce offspring and creat a single strain of agressive mice. the latency scores were analysed over 11 generations.

Q

results

A

latency scores decreased with each generation in the short latency group. they found that this group are quicker to respond with agression towards an intruder who was placed in their cage. this suggest that mice are becoming increasingly aggressive with each generation. the increase in agression can be attributed to genetic inheritance. The results also demostrated a heritability of 0.3 for agressive behaviour

conclusion

A
