A control variable in scientific experimentation is an experimental element which is constant and unchanged throughout the course of the investigation.

What are uncontrolled variables?

a characteristic factor that is not regulated or measured by the investigator during an experiment or study, so that it is not the same for all participants in the research.

What is an Independent Variable?
A
A variable whose variation does not depend on that of another.

What is an Dependant Variable?
A
A dependent variable is a variable that changes as a result of the independent variable manipulation. It’s the outcome you’re interested in measuring, and it “depends” on your independent variable.
