variables affecting conformity- Asch Flashcards

1
Q

description of Aschs variables

A
  1. unamity- changing the study so that not all majority members give the same wrong answers. The presents of an ally lead conformity rates to drop to 25%
  2. group size- 1-2= no effects, 3= 32%, 4,5,6= rising, 7= began to decrease
  3. task difficulty- more ambiguous, less confidence, higher conformity rates
