How do you treat the potential vasospasm from a SAH?

A

Nimodipine…..remember “dipine” means dihydropyridine Calcium Channel Blocker which prevents smooth muscle contraction in vasculature.

A

FAST BLEED
usually due to rupture of middle meningeal artery.
Often secondary to bone fracture.
Pts will havea lucid interval where they seem fine

Forms a lens shape as it peels the dura off the skull
