Scottish flats for the poor people, badly built and sometimes 5 floors to fit in more people

They all drunk from the same pump which came from the Thames, they then went to the loo and emptied all heir feces back into the Thames, basically they were drinking other people’s feces. There was a Great stink when parliament had to close because the Thames smelt so bad.

The privy

The night soil men where people who’s jobs were to come in the night and clear out all the waste from the outdoor lavatory.
How much were night soil men paid?
3 times the normal wage
What were the night soil men?
They were quite a lot of the time drunks and they smashed up the lavatories as well.
