What’s the bp for a stage 2 hypertension patient?
(S) >160
(D) >100
If a patient bp is checked with a cuff that is too large what type of reading will you get?
False low reading.
If a patient bp is checked with a cuff that is too small what type of reading will you get?

What are you checking for when you check the patients pulse?
Rate, rhythm, equality, & strength.
Reg pulse can be check for 30 sec * 2
Irregular pulse has to be checked for a full min.
What’s the pulse for a tachycardia pt?
> 100 beats/min
What’s the pulse for a bradycardia pt?
