vitreous and retinal detachment Flashcards

1
Q

why does this occur?

A

Disorders of the vitreous are very common due to ageing and constant anteroposterior dynamic traction which ultimately result in vitreous detachment. The risk of vitreous
detachment is that it leads to a retinal tear and subsequent retinal detachment.

Q

how does retinal detachment occur?

A

Retinal detachment is almost invariably caused by a retinal tear with subsequent the liquefied
