ad hominem
instead of addressing someone’s argument or position, you irrelevantly attack the person or some aspect of the person who is making the argument.

Etymon just refers to the original root word from which the modern word is derived.

Just means, by way of. How someone/something got there
perfunctory
Carried out with a minimum of effort or reflection.
