A

Native to Europe, Burnett includes any of several herbs, the most common being salad burnet. It leaves are used in salads and with vegetables. Like borage, Burnett leaves are also used to flavored drinks, such as tea. When crashed, they have a fragrance similar to cucumber.

Calvados

A

A dry Apple Brandy made of calvados, in the Normandy region of northern France and considered one of the worlds greatest. Calvado’s is a double distilled in a pot, then age for 40 years. The best calvados comes from the pays d’Auge appellation contrôlée, a destination that is noted on the label. Called Lagos is often used for cooking, particular and chicken, pork, and veal dishes.
