The literal definition of the word
Denotation
The associations and emotional overtones attached to a word beyond its literal definition; it may be a positive, negative, or neutral feeling
Connotation
A written copy of a conversation that takes place between two or more people
Transcript
The way the writer or speaker uses words and tone to express ideas as well as his or her persona or personality
Voice
A writers or speakers attitude toward a subject, character, or audience
Tone
A story about a series of events that includes character development, plot, structure, and theme; it can be a work of fiction or nonfiction
Narrative

The repetition of the same word or group of words at the beginning of two or more clauses or lines
