Lost-wax Process
Bronze-casting method where a figure is modeled in wax, covered in clay, then fired, melting the wax, but hardens the clay. This then becomes a mold for molten metal.

Freestanding sculptures, carved or modeled in three dimensions.
One-Point (Linear Perspective)
Perspective where all parallel lines or surface edges converge on vanishing points, with reference to the horizon line. Foreshortening is also used, as it appears in life.
Horizon Line
Line that is the reference to the eye level of the viewer
Orthogonals
A line imagined to be perpendicular to the picture plane, they recede to a vanishing point
Vanishing Point
Point where orthogonals meet. On Horizon line, where objects get smaller as an illusion of distance is increased
Transversals
A line imagined to be perpendicular to orthogonals, and parallel to the picture plane

Masonry arch that projects from a surface, framework of the vaulting
