What does ‘autonomously’ mean?
By yourself, without help or control from others
Example: “The robot can work autonomously, without anyone controlling it”
What does ‘hallucinate’ mean?
To see or experience things that aren’t really there
Example: “When you’re very tired, you might hallucinate and think you see things that don’t exist”
What are ‘inferences’?
Conclusions you draw based on clues or evidence
Example: “If you see wet streets, you can make an inference that it rained”
What does ‘expertise’ mean?
Special skill or knowledge in a particular area
Example: “A chef has expertise in cooking, just like a mechanic has expertise in fixing cars”
What are ‘citations’?
Notes that tell where information came from
Example: “When writing a paper, you use citations to show which books or articles you got your information from”
What does ‘eccentric’ mean?
Someone who is a little unusual or quirky. They might have hobbies or habits that seem a bit strange to others.
Think of: A person who wears a superhero costume to the grocery store.
What does ‘compliment’ mean?
To say something nice to someone to make them feel good. It’s a kind of praise.
Think of: Telling your friend, ‘I love your new shoes!’
