My raku kiln is made from an oil barrel lined with insolation and heated by a propane torch.

You take the pottery out of the kiln when it reaches 2000 degrees with tongs and plunge it into a garbage can stuffed with straw or paper or leaves. It bursts into flames, then after a feu seconds you put the lid on the garbage can and wait.
On enlève la poterie du four quand il arrive à une température de à peu près 2000 dégres avec des pincettes et on la plunge dans une poubelle qui est bourré de paille ou papier ou les feuilles. Ça éclate en flammes (prendre feu/s'enflammer) puis aprés quelques seconds on met un couvert au poubelle et on attend.
