Affidavit
Is a voluntary declaration of facts written down, sworn to, and signed by the person making the declaration before an officer authorized to administer oaths, such as a notary.
To become Certified( Sworn) as a law enforcement officer, you must complete the following.
- Meet all the minimum requirements and standards
- Complete the approved basic recruit training
- pass the SOCE(state officer certification exam)
- be actively employed with a law enforcement agency in an auxiliary, pet-time, or full-time sworn officer position
Nolo contenderé
When a person does not accept or deny responsibility for the charges but agrees to accept punishment
Assumption
Is a notion, statement, or belief about a person, group, or event that may or may not be factual.
Note: people make assumptions when they consider something to be true or false without proof or demonstration
Bribery
To knowingly and intentionally give, offer, or promise to any public servant, or if a public servant , to knowing and intentionally request, solicit accept, or agree to accept for himself or herself or another , any pecuniary or other benefit not authorized by law with an intent or purpose to influence the performance of any act or omission which the person believes to be, or the public servant represents as being , within the official discretion of a pubic servant, in violation of a duty, or in performances of a public duty.

Discrimination
The negative treatment towards a person or a group that is based on color , race, gender, age, religion, ethnic and national origin, disability, or marital status.

Anything of value intended to benefit the giver more than the receiver
Perception
Is the impression in a person’s mind pd an individual, a group of people , or events based on experiences, biases, beliefs, assumptions, and observations.
Perjury
The offense of lying in court after taking an oath
Personal values
Are a person’s convictions about what is right and wrong, based on religious beliefs, cultural roots, family backgrounds, and personal experiences
Prejudice
An unjustified and baseless attitude toward a person only because of their membership in a social group
Professionalism
Is behavior that demonstrates good character and is marked by pride in yourself and your career
Stereotyping
Judging a group of people who are different from you based on your own or others’ opinions or encounters
Values
Are principles , standards, or qualities considered worthwhile or desirable
