What is census suffrage?

Define constitution.
Fundamental laws and principles (rights and duties) according to which a state is governed

What was the Congress of Vienna?
International conference (1814-1815) to restore absolutism and redraw the political map of Europe after the fall of Napoleon
It promoted the balance of powers and created the Holy Alliance for military intervention.
What is liberalism?
Ideology of the bourgeoisie that defended individual liberty, rights of citizens, equality under the law, constitutional regimes based on national sovereignty, as well as economic rights: private property, free trade, etc.
It is based on Enlightenment political ideas and Adam Smith’s economic theories.
Define nationalism.
Idea and movement that people belong to a nation or community with common history, traditions, language, and culture
Nationalism advocates for each nation to have its own state or territory.
What is popular or national sovereignty?
Ideal according to which the power belongs to the people or a nation and their rulers are subjected to it
This concept is often expressed through a social contract.
What is the National Constituent Assembly?
Representatives of the nation that meet in a parliament to enact a new constitution
What was Zollverein?
A custom union (1834) that included Prussia and other German States to trade among them without tariffs
What is the Holy Alliance?
Military coalition created in the Congress of Vienna to suppress liberal revolutions and impose absolute monarchies, allowing foreign intervention in the event of revolution at any place of Europe.
