Indigenous food

Food Habits
Cultural and religious diets. Dietary habits are the habitual decisions a person or culture makes when choosing what foods to eat. Many cultures hold some food preferences and some food taboos. Dietary choices can also define cultures and play a role in religion.

Multiculturalism” is the co-existence of diverse cultures, where culture includes racial, religious, or cultural groups and is manifested in customary behaviours, cultural assumptions and values, patterns of thinking, and communicative styles

Values
principles or standards of behaviour; one’s judgement of what is important in life.
Beliefs
an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.
Media
the main means of mass communication (television, radio, and newspapers) regarded collectively.
Staple food
staple food, or simply a staple, is a food that is eaten routinely and in such quantities that it constitutes a dominant portion of a standard diet for a given people, supplying a large fraction of energy needs and generally forming a significant proportion of the intake of other nutrients as well.

Gatherer
