Why do people live near volcanoes?
because there is good soil near the volcano ( it is very fertile), there are lots of tourists visiting the volcano so that would bring in jobs for the people who live near the volcano. also because of geothermal power- the power from the volcanoes go into pumps which help produce hot water and help get electricity from the steam of the hot water. As well as this, there are also minerals such as gold near the volcano which is worth a lot so people would want to mine it.
What are the differences between a shield and a composite volcano?
Composite volcanoes have an upwardly concaved slope and a small summit crater. They are constructed of alternating layers of hardened lava. Shield volcanoes have an upwardly convex slope.
