what are the advantages and disadvantages of joheds
advantages - can keep water flowing through rivers all year round
disadvantages - affect the water supplies in a small quantity so may not help an entire village
what is a pat
small bunds that divert water from a stream into farmlands for irrigation
what are the advantages and disadvantages of pats
advantages - farmland receives constant supply of water which reduces the risks of crop failure
disadvantages - channels need constant maintenance to prevent them filling up with silt
