  • In B in 1915 - 20 zeppelin raids and 188 deaths

  • despite being member of triple entente - stayed out of war until 1915 - joined in support of allies
  • italians attempted to attack AH through Julian Alps - 11 battles fought between 1915 and 1917 - italians never advanced more than 10 miles
  • In november 1917 germans defeated italy at battle of caporetto - nearly knocked them out of war - italy only able to continue through support from B and F

  • Bulgaria joined war on side of Germany in 1915 - joined attack on serbia
  • allies sent troops to help serbia - landed at salonika - unable to advance - stalemate established

  • B and indian troops fought turks in Mesopatamia - after turkish victory in april 1916, they were joined by ANZACS - turks forced to back down to turkish border
  • arabs attacked turkish troops - hit and run tactics - supported by Lawrence of Arabia
  • B and ANZAC troops defeated turks at battle of Beersheba and Megiddo
