Q

Why do you want to work for Google?

A

There are a few reasons why I’m excited to work for Google:

  1. Products – It doesn’t matter if it’s Gmail, Google search, docs, or YouTube. I use Google products every day, and it makes me more productive. I’d be proud to work for a company that’s changing the world.
  2. Innovation – I’m constantly impressed by Google’s innovations. 15 years ago, who would have imagined that we would have self-driving cars? Well, Google is now making it a reality.
  3. PM role – My friend, Peter, is a PM for the Google Maps team. He tells me that the PM is truly empowered to be the GM of his products and features. Whether it’s leading the engineering team or proposing new acquisitions, Peter tells me that he truly feels like a CEO.
  4. Culture – lastly, I love how happy Google employees are. I visited the campus a few months ago, and Google has made a substantial effort to make sure that employees are well-fed, can quickly take care of personal errands that interfere with work, and has an environment that makes it easy to collaborate and do meaningful work.

Q

What is your biggest weakness?
(Are you self aware?
What is your improvement plan?
What is the result?)

A

Public Speaking.

I have been practicing this skill by taking ownership of enabling our sales and support teams on new features. Building confidence through credibility has opened new opportunities to connect with various stakeholders.

As a result of my presentations and positive feedback, I am leading live webinars for internal customers and next month I will begin hosting LinkedIn Live broadcasts
