What is coagulation?
A
The use of flocculants such as Aluminum hydroxided to stick to particles and clump them together

What is sedimentation?
A
Allowing heavy particles to settle to the bottom of the tank, forming a sludge layer

What is filtration?
A
Passing semi-treated water thru gravel, sand, and activated charcoal to remove smaller particles, ions, etc.

A
Adding chlorine or ozone to kill foreign microbes before use.
