has nociceptors and baroreceptors
what are the four compartments of the kidney?
- glomeruli
- tublues
- interstitual tissue
- kidney vessel
what is glomeruli pathology?
immunopathology
what is the pathology for tubules and interstitual tissue?
toxins and infections
what is the fx of the kidneys?
- excrestion of waste products
- regulation of body’s concentration of water and salt
- acid balance of plasma

true
- erythtropoietin
- prosstaglandins

- renin
what is the function of the glomeruli?
filtration of blood and removal of waste
what are aka’s for glomerulonephritis?
glomerular disease
glomerulopathy
what is primary glomerular disease?
leads to chronic GN and begins primaryly in the kidneys
what is secondary glomerular disease?
part of systemic disease
what is the fx of juxtaglomerular cells?
fx is security–>keeps eye on pressure
renin fx is to begin angiotensin 2–>increase of blood pressure
what are capillaries structures covered by?
endothelial cells
the holes in endothelial cells are called?
pseudofenestrations

where are podocytes located?
outside the layer of the visceral epithelial cells
what is the ocatio of the podocytes?
glomerulus/Bowman’s capsule

produce erythropoietin
helps with the development of connective tissue
