Critical thinking
Using deductive reasoning to examine a problem or issue from a variety of different angles in order to arrive at the most appropriate conclusion and using that information in order to guide behaviors.
Example sentence: Critical thinking skills are essential for problem-solving in various situations.
Integrity
Doing the right thing in a reliable way; having a moral compass.
Prejudice
Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Appearance
Outward or visible persona that a person gives to other individuals.
Resiliency
Ability to overcome challenges such as trauma, tragedy, personal crises, and life problems - and bounce back stronger and wiser with a greater sense of self-esteem.
Self-awareness
An awareness of one’s own personality or uniqueness.
Team player
Works cooperatively with a group of people.
Time management
An assortment of skills, tools, and practices used to manage time during daily activities and when accomplishing specific projects.
Work ethic
Set of values held by employees of performing work for a moral good.
Innate
Characteristics that are inherent or natural, while others must be learned.
Diastole
The relaxation phase of the heartbeat; the period of least pressure.
Dorsalis pedis
A pulse point palpable on the instep of the foot.
Femoral
Pertaining to the artery that lies adjacent to the femur.
Groin
The depression between the thigh and the trunk of the body; the inguinal region.
Hyperventilation
Excessive deep and frequent breathing.

Throbbing caused by the regular alternating contraction and expansion of an artery.

Difference between the systolic and diastolic measurements.

Capable of producing fever.
Radial
Referring to the radial artery or pulse taken in the radial artery.

A device that measures blood pressure; also called manometer.
