**Constipation (verapamil big time)
Verapamil = very constipated

NO GRAPEFRUIT JUICE!

NO CAFFEINE/THEOPHYLLINE

IMMEDIATELY FLUSH THE LINE AFTERWARDS WITH NORMAL SALINE (20 ml)

Instruct patients their heart is going to stop. Continue to monitor

Half-life is < 10 seconds

Pick an IV line close to the heart (central line preferred)

Give drug as a rapid push!
Watch the EKG
