S -Send for help
Call for ICP or another ambulance
T - Trauma or Triage
If multiple patients which is first priority, or trauma is c-spine suspected
G - General impression
Age, gender, position and state found in
E - Estimate level of awareness
AVPU - aware, verbal, pain or unconscious
T - Treats
POPE - People, objects, place, environment
A - Airway
Check the airway - triple airway manoeuvre(head tilt, chin lift and jaw thrust)
B - Breathing
Look, listen and feel for breathing
C - Circulation
Check the carotid and radial pulse
D - Decision/Disability
Medical BANG ZAP PUSH: B - Benzo/seizures, A - adrenaline/anaphylaxis, N - narcan/opiod OD, G - glucose/hypoglycemia, ZAP - Defib pulseless patients, PUSH - IV fluid push for hypovolemic. Trauma: breaks and bleeding
E - Extrication
Time critical, getting help, where are you going, how will you get there
