What is independence of observations

A

all participants in your sample are only counted once. No participant is counted multiple times in one group or counted in both groups. For example, your participants cannot have scores on statistics anxiety in the traditional age group and scores in the non-traditional age group. A participant might have multiple scores for different measures that are all linked to that one participant, but that one participant cannot provide multiple scores on the same measures that count as multiple participants
