Correlation between network effect and crowdsourcing.
Organizations benefit from the collective wisdom of crowds, but he network effect ensures that there is sufficient participation for the crowdsourced solution to be a good one.
Collective Intelligence
knowledge that grows out of a group; people working together to solve problems
