Bhakti Yoga

is yoga of devotion. devotion to a personal form of the universal being similar to a relationship between two humans.
relationship is between the individual soul and the supreme soul

bhakta usually practices meditation by visualizing, thinking and feeling universal self

Bhakti yoga practiced by chanting, singing, worship

Mantra Yoga

mantra is a syllable, sound a word or set of words found in a deep state of meditation

to reach a super conscious state

Raja Yoga

also known as ashtanga yoga or classical yoga. written by patanjali

ashtanga means eight limbs

ashtanga yoga is quick powerful movements

Hatha Yoga

focus is on postures and breathing exercises
asanas and pranayama

balances the heating and cooling energy in the body
