What are disadvantages of wind turbines?

A

.They spoil the view
. 1500 wind turbines are needed to replace one coal-fired power station
- this many cover a lot of ground (big effect on scenery)
.can be very noisy which affects people living nearby
.turbines stop when wind stops
.impossible to increase supply when there’s extra demand
high initial costs
