Define Type 2 Diabetes
A common condition which causes people to be unable to metabolise glucose. Thus causes the level of glucose in the blood to become too high.
Main symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes
Excessive Thirst
Need to pee a lot (frequent urination)
Tiredness (fatigue)
Sudden loss of muscle mass
Kidney problems
Also affect your vital organs - Heart, nerves & eyes (blurred vision)
Define Metabolism
The body converts the fuel from the food we eat into energy, needed to power everything we do from moving, to thinking and growing
8 Tips for Heathy Eating
- Base your meals on starchy foods.
- Eat lots of Fruit & Vegetables.
- Eat more fish - inc a portion of oily fish each week.
- Cut down on saturated fat and sugar.
5.Eat Less Salt - no more than 6g a day for adults. - Get active and try to be a healthy weight.

- Unwashed hands handling raw and cooked meats.
- using the same chopping board to prepare raw and cooked meats.
- Storing raw food above cooked food in the fridge
